ndrea Le is a rising LPGA Tour superstar, highlighted in her 2022 win at the Portland Classic. Lee has had success at every level, most notably at Standford University earning 9 wins during her collegiate career and spending 17 weeks as the most successful Women's Amateur in the World. In 2019, she took home the Mark H. McCormack Medal as the top-ranked Women's Amateur in the final week of the season. She turned professional later that year. Andrea Lee, a former amateur golfer, is now creating her mark on the professional scene. These are some facts you may not be aware of regarding the American LPGA Tour player. Andrea Lee was a Los Angeles born baby on the 15th of August, 1998. She began playing golf at the age of 5 under the tuition from her dad James. As a young girl when she began competing in tournaments. She was awarded 50 championships when she was a junior player in just four years. This year's US Women's Open was her first cut. Her father accompanied her to the tournament at her age of 15 and worked as caddie. The sponsors of her invite her to compete in the year 2015 ANA Inspiration LPGA Tour. However, she was just one shot away from the cut. Lee was part of the US's Junior Ryder Cup Junior Solheim Cup Curtis Cup as well as the Women's World Amateur Team Championship. When she first joined Stanford University in 2016, Lee became the school's most popular athlete at that point. She was awarded nine championships in the span of three seasons. Lee quit Stanford University to turn pro in the year 2019. Her amateur golf career included 17 weeks at the top in the World Amateur Golf Ranking. Lee was also awarded the Mark H. McCormack Award in 2019, following her completion of the year at the top of amateur rankings. In her amateur career, Lee achieved four holes in one and one albatross. In her debut season playing on the LPGA Tour, Lee had two top-10 finishes. She placed T7 in 2020's AIG Women's Open held at Kingsbarns Golf Links. Lee's very first LPGA Tour victory came in 2022 in the Portland Classic. This victory was dedicated to her late grandpa Min. She called her champions and he believed in me. She stated, "I was so grateful for him. It's a good thing that he's following me." Lee has previously competed in the figure skating, soccer and Taekwondo. Lee has an array of hobbies outside golf, like shopping, watching movies, and singing.
